Joshua McGrane

Congratulations to Joshua McGrane and Robert Woore have been awarded the title of Associate Professor in recognition of their distinction in their fields and their contributions to research, teaching and administration of the department.

Joshua McGrane is the Deputy Director of the department’s Centre for Educational Assessment and has a Research Fellowship funded by AQA. He is involved in a number of projects including developing research alliances with AQA, Assessment for Learning in Africa (AFLA), the PIRLS 2016 National Centre, and pursuing his own psychometric research interests.

Robert Woore is a Research Lecturer in Applied Linguistics and is the department’s lead tutor for Modern Languages on the PGCE course. He is a member of the Applied Linguistics and Teaching and Teacher Education research groups and teaches on the PGCE, MSc ALSLA, MLT and doctoral programmes.

The Conferment of Title of Associate Professor was approved by the University’s Social Sciences Division during April.
