Create your own Department event! Proposals for a student run professional development activity (it could be a half-day workshop, a mini-conference, a hosted speaker... etc., etc.) will be accepted in Michaelmas term.  The winning proposal will receive a £250 budget to run their activity in Hilary term. Applications due on Friday of 6th to julia.paulson@education.ox.ac.uk

The weekly Work in Progress (WIP) seminar series

In Michaelmas 2009 WIP seminars will be held on Mondays at 2pm in Seminar Room D.  A free and delicious lunch will be served in the Common Room every Monday before the seminar.

The STORIES Annual Conference

This year STORIES will be held in Hilary term (2010). STORIES is run by research students for research students. Get involved in the STORIES committee - email julia.paulson@education.ox.ac.uk

The HOT SPOT is the virtual hub of the Department of Education research student community and is maintained by the Department's Professional Development Coordinator.

The Professional Development Coordinator position is a rotating student position in the Department of Education.  The current Coordinator is Julia Paulson (julia.paulson@education.ox.ac.uk).  

Julia is responsible for convening the WIP seminars, Chairing the STORIES Conference Committee, facilitating professional development and social activities in the Department and maintaing this website!  

The Professional Development Coordinator exists to foster a sense of community among research students in the Department so please get in touch with Julia with any questions, comments, feedback or suggestions.
