Haoran Liu is a doctoral student in education at Oxford, where she received her MSc on Educational Research Methodology.
Haoran co-founded a language training school with her family in China in 2007. She was able to develop her interest in private education and teachers’ experiences in working and learning in the private sector. Her DPhil thesis aims to explore the comparative characteristics of teachers’ professional identities in state schools and private schools in China. Her research interests include private education, professional culture and identity development, teacher’ work and digital learning.
