Oxfordshire Climate and Nature Teacher Online Meetup

For: Oxfordshire teachers engaged in climate and nature education or the new Natural History GCSE
Come and share your updates and ambitions for this year with teachers from other Oxfordshire schools. And discuss ideas for enthusing KS3 about natural history.
The teachers running the Oxfordshire Schools Sustainability Network (OxSSN) have been creating and delivering some fantastic in-person sessions in Oxford for students and teachers over the last few years. This year the OxSSN organising team want to reach out to colleagues across the county, running online sessions so that everyone has a chance to join in the conversation and feel the benefits of support from this wonderful community of like-minded educators.
The Oxford Education Deanery is supporting OxSSN by offering a platform on which to convene. There will be three online sessions this school year (one hour after school) giving you a chance to meet and chat, and a nature-based evening social event in June.
For this first session the topic is nature education for KS3 (and possibly 4). Following the GCSE in Natural History consultation, some of us have been discussing how useful it would be to have a set of designed nature education sessions that teachers could use in schools, in afterschool clubs or other slots. We would love your reactions! You can join OxSSN in registering for this event and see their term card on the Oxford Education Deanery Sustainability Team’s page.
Note: This event is intended for teachers working locally in Oxfordshire and is free to join.
