Dr Lucy Robinson has received the Centre for Evidence for the Armed Forces Community‘s Early Career Researcher Award in recognition of her doctoral research, ‘How does military life shape service children’s identity and school experiences?’.

Lucy said: “Service children are often an overlooked part of the Armed Forces community. However, authentically listening and responding to service children’s diverse and nuanced experiences of military life – their ‘invisible service’ – is crucial to better understanding and supporting them.

“Thank you again to the Centre for Evidence for the Armed Forces Community (formally the FiMT Research Centre) for my award and for your continued work in putting evidence at the heart of decision making to enable a thriving Armed Forces community.”
