This is the final seminar in a 3-part seminar series on the topic of Deep Learning in the Disciplines organised by the Subject Pedagogy Research Group.
Questions that will be considered under this series include, but are not limited to, the following:
- How can deep learning in a particular discipline look like? What would be examples of shallow learning?
- How is new evidence developed and established in a particular discipline?
Each seminar will focus on 2 or 3 subject areas and will involve brief subject-specific presentations on aspects related to the topic of the seminar, followed by cross-subject discussions. This final seminar will focus Science and Religious Education. Previous seminars focused on: Mathematics and English (May 3, 11am-12.30pm, room G); and Geography, History, and Modern Foreign Languages (May 16, 1-3pm, room G).
