A new report has underlined the importance of employing graduates who specialise in early years care and education in improving the quality of nursery provision, particularly in the quality of support for children’s learning.

The government-funded ‘National Evaluation of the Graduate Leader Fund’ was carried out by the University of Oxford, the National Centre for Social Research and the Institute of Education (University of London).

Principal Investigator Sandra Mathers from the Department for Education at Oxford, said “We found clear evidence in support of developing a graduate-led early years workforce”.
