Jo-Anne Baird attends the Yidan Prize Ceremony 2018

The department was invited by Charles Chen, Founder of the Yidan Prize, to take part in the nomination process for the inaugural Yidan awards.

Director of the Department, Jo-Anne Baird, attended the ceremony and conference for the first of 50 years’ prizes held at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 10 December 2017. Unveiled as the world’s largest education awards scheme, this initiative recognises individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to Education. Professor Carol S. Dweck and Vicky Colbert won these important prizes, which are to the world of education what Nobel prizes are in other fields.
