The department is delighted to announce that the University has conferred the title of Visiting Professor on Professor Jennifer Gore.

Professor Gore is Laureate Professor of Education in the School of Education at the University of Newcastle, Australia, the first female to be awarded the Laureate Professorship at the university and the only social scientist to hold that position.  Jenny was previously Head of the School of Education and is now Director of the Teachers and Teaching Research Centre. She is also Chief Editor of the international journal, Teaching and Teacher Education.

Her appointment as Visiting Professor will have significant benefit for the department and the University.  She will work with department colleagues and collaborate with ongoing teacher education research projects here.

We look forward to welcoming Jenny to the department and to a mutually beneficial association.  You can see more information about her work here.
