Join the Project Calibrate team as they celebrate the outcomes of a constructive and collaborative learning experience with secondary science teachers and pupils.  The event will showcase the research and development work from Project Calibrate that has been running in the Department in collaboration with AQA for the past 3 years, investigating a systemic approach to summative assessment of practical science. The project is jointly funded by the Wellcome Trust, Gatsby Foundation and Royal Society.

Speakers will be Sibel Erduran, Ann Childs, Alison Cullinane, Olga Ioannidou and Judith Hillier from the Department of Education at Oxford along with Steve Wooding and Katy Finch from AQA.

Project Calibrate is a collaboration between the Department of Education at the University of Oxford and AQA.
In this event we will:

  • present the Project Calibrate approach to designing new summative
    assessments for practical science
