Bio

This seminar will describe methods used to elicit information from children in the care of foster carers.

It will outline the engagement of care experienced young people in the research process from a study conducted 2013-2016 across 7 fostering service providers. Of particular focus in this seminar will be the young peoples’ involvement in fieldwork activities and analysis, and subsequent adaptations to data collection tools and methods as a result of this engagement activity. Examples of the visual data collected through these methods will be shown and the approach to the analysis discussed.
