Jo is the Editorial Assistant for the Oxford Review of Education, one of the UK’s leading international education journals.
Issues are published six times per year, which includes two Special Issues on current themes – the journal can be accessed here.
Supporting and working closely with the co-editors, Jo is fully responsible for the coordination of the editorial system. She monitors papers through the peer review process and handles queries from authors, reviewers and guest editors on all aspects of the editorial process from manuscript submission through to the publication of articles. She liaises with authors when papers are accepted, prepares final files, reads proofs, and is in close contact with the publisher’s production team to ensure each issue is produced on time. She checks and updates details on the online system, prepares editorial office reports, and gives feedback and recommendations on the online system, implementing changes where required. The Editorial Board meets twice a year, and Jo is responsible for arranging meetings, preparing and distributing papers and writing minutes.
