Rebecca Snell

Research Officer & Education Consultant

About me

Rebecca’s research focuses on the attraction, selection, and retention of teachers, with a particular interest in how technology-based interventions can address knowledge deficits surrounding teaching, and improve teacher wellbeing.

She brings a wealth of practical experience from her previous roles as Director of Sixth Form, Head of English, and Head of Staff Coaching. Rebecca has worked across a diverse range of educational settings, including a senior school within a multi-academy trust, boarding schools, and an independent day school. During her time in schools, she led a series of well-attended TeachMeets, engaging educators from across the South Coast.

Rebecca is Co-Coordinator of the Junior Researchers’ Network within SIG 11 (Teaching and Teacher Education), the largest special interest group of the European Association for Research on Learning and Instruction (EARLI). She also serves as Co-Chair of the Early Career Researchers’ Group within the ESRC-funded Education Research Project.
