About me

As a researcher specializing in education policy and international development, I am specifically interested in efforts to support girls’ education in South Asia. My DPhil research aims to investigate the life trajectories of female dropouts in rural India and explores the potential of ‘second chance’ education programs to empower young women.

My previous work has examined the digital divide in education during the pandemic, the experiences of parents of children with disabilities in rural India and most recently, the impact of the flooding crisis on girls’ education in Pakistan.

I graduated with Distinction in my MPhil in Education, Globalisation, and Development from the University of Cambridge, where my dissertation received ‘Best Dissertation Award.’  I continue to be passionate about producing research that is grounded in lived experience and meaningfully informs policy and practice.
