About me

Antony (he/him) is a medical doctor specialising in internal medicine.

His drive for medical education started whilst at medical school and currently holds positions at University College London Medical School as a clinical and professional practice tutor and honorary clinical lecturer. His passion for medical education along with innovation within the field has led to him securing fellowship with the Higher Education Academy, the prestigious ‘Excellence in Medical Education’ Award, along with various ‘name and proclaim’ awards.

He completed his Masters’ degree in Medical Education at the Department of Education (University of Oxford). His research interests place particular focus on how personal identities in healthcare settings, particularly minoritised ones, exist and affect the experiences and sense of belonging of medical students and postgraduate trainee doctors. His current research project, supervised by Dr Debbie Aitken, has secured Small Grant Funding and investigates how role models are experienced for LGBTQIA+ identifying medical students in the UK, and how they may use these to mediate their sense of belonging in medicine.
