About me

Gemma is a doctoral student in the Department of Education where her research examines A-level mathematics students’ perceptions and experiences in the sixth form. Gemma is the recipient of a departmental scholarship.

Prior to commencing her DPhil, Gemma completed an MSc in Education (Research Design and Methodology) at Oxford. She also holds an MSc in Developmental Psychology from the University of Sussex, BA degrees in History and English Literature from The Open University, and a BSc in Psychology from Goldsmiths, University of London.

Gemma previously worked as a research assistant at UCL (Institute of Education) and at the universities of Sussex and Edinburgh.
