Maria Karampela

About me

Maria is a Research Assistant on the project “Maximising the benefits of intervention research to support language and communication in children”, which focuses on improving reporting standards in studies involving children with or at risk for Developmental Language Disorder (DLD).

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Sussex and a Master’s in Computational Cognitive Neuroscience from Goldsmiths, University of London. Her current work centres on developmental language and communication difficulties in children. Her broader research interests include language and cognitive development, experimental approaches to cognitive science, and computational perspectives on neurodevelopmental and neuropsychiatric conditions.
