Natalie is a Research Assistant on the project “Maximising the Benefits of Intervention Research to Support Language and Communication in Children with or at risk of Developmental Language Disorder (DLD)”. She joined the Department following a career in secondary education and 15 years as headteacher of a large comprehensive school. She holds a Master’s in Educational Leadership from the University of Birmingham and recently completed an MSc in the Psychology of Education at the University of Bristol. Her interest in DLD research is informed by first-hand experience of how speech, language and communication needs can shape young people’s well-being, educational outcomes and social inclusion.
Natalie also serves on the Governing Body of the University of Worcester.
