Trinidad is a Research Doctoral Fellow at the Rees Centre. Her primary research interests are understanding the meaning of care provided by parents, the state and foster families to children, and how changes on this provision can improve adolescent’s wellbeing and educational outcomes. Her research has focused on the quantitative study of time use within families, focusing on caring activities and the gender of both the parent and the child. Trinidad’s doctoral research is focused on Colombia, checking for differences in the time allocated to care activities by parents with children of different age ranges and genders. This is to understand better how the age and gender of the children relate to the amount and type of care children receive.
