Yuvraj Singh is a Clarendon Scholar and is currently reading for a DPhil in Education at the University of Oxford. His doctoral research attends to the role of education in shaping caste subjectivities among dominant-caste youth in north India, against the backdrop of rising Hindu nationalism. More broadly, his work engages with questions surrounding education, social identities, social hierarchy, and authoritarian populism. He is also academically and politically committed to exploring the interconnections between caste and race, and to building transnational solidarities between anti-caste and anti-racist movements.
Before joining Oxford, Yuvraj completed a Master’s in Education at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University Delhi and worked as a consultant with the Ministry of Education (Government of India) and the National Council for Educational Research and Training (NCERT).
