The Marketization of Further Education in England
The Project
This project aimed to explore the impacts that the marketisation of different funding streams for Further Education were having on colleges and see how their leadership teams and national policy makers were reacting to developments.
The project was conducted via a set of interviews (organised by the Association of Colleges) with national policy makers, focus groups with senior managers from a range of FE colleges across England, and the construction of a set of three scenarios exploring how marketization may play out in the future.
