About the Role
This post is an excellent opportunity for a talented and able researcher with expertise in qualitative research or quantitative research to support a range of research projects within the Department of Education.
The post holder will contribute to the wider research initiatives of the department, share responsibility for data analysis, and be involved in some project administration. The primary function of the fellowship will enable the researcher to develop their research profile by supporting academic staff on a range of research projects. Activities may include, but are not limited to, data analysis, developing research materials, grant writing, preparing research publications, and conducting systematic literature reviews. The post holder will also be given a minimum allocation of 0.2fte (one day per week) to pursue their own independent research and will be eligible to apply to small grants and conference funding, as well as to attend research training where appropriate.
Fellowships are for two-years, fixed term and non-renewable. There will be two fellowships available.
While we are seeking well-rounded researchers for these roles, we envision one role dedicated for a candidate with expertise in advanced qualitative methods, and the second with expertise in advanced quantitative methods.
