Postgraduate Taught Course Coordinator

Job role

The Department of Education is seeking to appoint a Postgraduate Taught Courses Coordinator.  This post will report to the Academic Programmes Manager and manage the administrative support for Department of Education postgraduate taught programmes, leading the PGT team as a senior member of the academic administration team. You will work closely with the Director of Graduate Studies and the MSc course directors and pathway leaders on managing the academic administration and strategic oversight of student-related activities and initiatives. You will require good knowledge of the University’s graduate studies policies and processes and a thorough understanding of university regulations so that you can provide guidance to students, the PGT team, the Director of Graduate Studies and course directors on any aspect of graduate admissions and on-course administration.
 
The post holder will support all administrative aspects for one of the smaller PGT courses (c. 20 students per year), including the administrative preparation and distribution of teaching materials such as course handbooks, coordination of disability support, organisation of the timetable and other practical arrangements for teaching, particularly for the residential periods through the courses.
 
You should be educated to degree level or equivalent have proven experience of managing student facing academic administration and have sound knowledge and experience of the application of HE sector.
