About the Role
Seeking a part-time researcher to support work on a large grant application.
This post will support work on a funding application for a large research project focusing on reciprocal influences and interactions between children’s and young people’s journeys through education, experiences of care and encounters with the justice system in England. The proposed project itself involves a combination of secondary analysis of linked administrative data and a participatory approach in partnership with a range of relevant stakeholders.
This advertised role will involve working with the Principle Investigator (Dr Ariel Lindorff) on scoping activities (e.g. literature review, a mapping exercise, outreach to key stakeholders to bolster planning around the participatory aspect of the proposal and to form an advisory group for the proposed project) and support for communications around the application (e.g. with ADR UK concerning the proposed use of secondary data linkages). There would be an opportunity for the researcher in this role to be a named team member on the grant application if research interests/skills/experience/availability align with the project.
This opportunity is intended for a Doctoral Researcher, starting September 2025 and ending June 2026. Experience of mapping research and knowledge exchange activities beyond peer-reviewed academic literature, secondary data analysis, participatory approaches to research, and contributing to grant applications would each be an asset but not required.
Please contact Ariel (ariel.lindorff@education.ox.ac.uk) with any questions about the post(s) or project.
Please submit a CV and brief cover letter no later than 12:00pm on 27 August, 2025.
