Society for Educational Studies prize

Congratulations to Emeritus Professor John Furlong who has won 1st prize by the Society for Educational Studies for books published in 2013.

John’s book entitled: “Education – An Anatomy of the Discipline” won the award based on the quality of research and/or scholarship, originality of analysis and argument, theory/practice relation and the quality and accessibility of writing. The prize will be presented at the Society for Educational Studies Annual seminar on a date to be announced.

Professor Furlong is a former Director of the Department of Education and a committee member of the Oxford Education Society.
