About me

Julie is an Emeritus Professor of Education and Adoption. She is working on the DfE funded longitudinal study Family Routes: growing up in adoptive and special guardianship families,
and contributing to a systematic review and meta-analysis, with colleagues from five other countries, on adoption disruption.

She continues to provide advice and consultation to child welfare agencies and remains connected to Bright Spots and the work of Coram Voice in understanding and improving the wellbeing of children in care and care leavers.
