Dr Carol Brown wins BPS Early Career Award

Dr Carol Brown received the British Psychological Society Psychology of Education Section Early Career Researcher Award at their annual conference in October 2017.

Carol presented work from her doctoral thesis, entitled ‘What motivates A-level students to achieve?  The role of expectations and values.’  Her graduation was on 11 November 2017.  Carol was delighted to receive the award and her doctoral supervisors, Therese Hopfenbeck and Jo-Anne Baird congratulated her on the achievement.  Carol is now a Senior Lecturer in Psychology and Education at Oxford Brookes University.
