Modelling interindividual differences in intraindividual development with latent growth curve models
Export to calendarAbstract
During the talk we will look at how we can model the development of lower secondary students’ (N=583) math anxiety and performance across four time points using latent growth curve modelling. We go through different modelling steps such as establishing longitudinal measurement invariance, investigating the form of change in the constructs under study, and testing if there are distinct developmental trajectory profiles within the sample through latent growth mixture modelling. Finally, we investigate how the developmental trajectory profiles in math anxiety and performance are related to students’ educational aspirations.
