Iram Siraj appointed as Senior Research Fellow and Professor of Child Development & Education
The department is delighted to announce the appointment of Professor Iram Siraj OBE, who joins as a new Senior Research Fellow and Professor of Child Development Education. Professor Siraj will take up the role on 1 June 2018 and is a lead international expert in pre-school and primary education research and policy.
Currently Professor of Education at UCL Institute of Education, Professor Siraj has worked as a teacher, academic and researcher, and held positions at the universities of Warwick, London and Wollongong, NSW, Australia. Her international, longitudinal studies and RCTs have focused on early home learning, measures of quality, evidence-based pedagogy and professional development, curriculum and assessment and their role in children’s learning and development. She has strong intellectual and long-standing collaborations with colleagues in the Education Department.
