Professor Simon Marginson appointed as Associate Professor of Higher Education with title of Professor of Higher Education

The department is delighted to announce the appointment of Simon Marginson as Associate Professor of Education, with title of Professor of Higher Education, in association with Linacre College.  Professor Marginson will be joining the department in September 2018.

Professor Marginson is Professor of International Higher Education, UCL Institute of Education, prior to which he was Professor of Higher Education at the University of Melbourne and Professor of Education at Monash University.  He is currently Editor-in-Chief of Higher Education, and the Director of the ESRC/HEFCE Centre for Global Higher Education.  He specialises primarily in higher education, and comparative and international education in the context of globalisation, being one of the world’s most highly cited social science researchers in these fields.
