Chris Hack is a part-time DPhil student in the Department of Education, supervised by Sibel Erduran and Sara Ratner. His doctoral research examines how sustained use of generative AI in schools shapes teachers’ agency and professional identity. His wider interests include AI in education and physics pedagogy. Alongside his studies, Chris is Director of Digital Innovation at Abingdon School, where he leads the School’s AI strategy and teaches Physics and Computer Science. He was previously Head of Physics at Magdalen College School, Oxford. He holds an MSci from the University of Cambridge and an MA in Education from Oxford Brookes University.
