About me

Kade is a first-year DPhil student in Education whose research explores access and equity in education in rural Liberia and Sierra Leone. Her work focuses on strengthening education policies, promoting equitable resource allocation, and advancing effective leadership and accountability within education systems, with a particular emphasis on addressing educational inequalities and improving outcomes for rural communities in both countries. She is a proud mother of two young adult children, both pursuing their university education.
Kade is the founder and organizer of the African Eloquence Annual Youth Celebration in Victoria BC, Canada. A cultural outreach initiative designed to promote post-secondary education among African youth while celebrating the richness, diversity and vitality of African cultures. This annual event brings together members of the Greater Victoria community to support African youth, celebrate the diversity of African cultures, and engage in interactive learning and cultural activities. This event introduces visible minority youth to the world of higher education by providing them with an opportunity to visit the University of Victoria campus, participate in campus tours, and experience coaching sessions in a university setting.
