Kate is a Doctoral Student at the Department of Education. Since qualifying as a teacher in the 1990s, Kate has taught in a wide range of schools and other settings in the UK, China, Thailand and Singapore. This has included pastoral and academic leadership roles and the initial training of teachers.
Her bachelor’s degree was in Drama and Theatre Studies, and her master’s degree was in Shakespeare and Theatre. Kate’s experience in teaching Drama has led her to her current research interest in the impact of problem-solving pedagogy on student creativity.
