About the role
We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated Executive Assistant to join our thriving department, providing high quality administrative, secretarial and project support to Professor Victoria Murphy, Director of Department of Education.
This is an exciting and wide-ranging role involving matters that are sometimes of a sensitive, highly confidential and/or urgent nature and interacting extensively with senior members of the department, the wider University, government representatives and other external organisations. You will be the first and a central point of contact for enquiries, manage the Director’s diary, meeting schedule and travel arrangements, and review and implement processes and procedures to ensure the effective organisation of business and strategic and operational planning.
You will have significant experience of managing the office of a senior member of staff, with outstanding organisational, administrative and interpersonal communication skills, the ability to work efficiently under pressure, and a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
You will be educated to degree level or have substantial relevant experience. Previous experience of working within the higher education sector or similar environment is desirable.
