About the role
 
The Department of Education at the University of Oxford is seeking a proactive and well-organized Research Support Officer to join the Research Team. This is a key role that combines elements of research facilitation, research administration, ethics and data protection, supporting the Department’s research activities. The postholder will play a vital role in maintaining research compliance, facilitating funding applications, and supporting research excellence.
 
The successful candidate will have experience in research administration, including grants and contracts management, within Higher Education or a comparable environment and a strong knowledge of research funding processes and requirements.
You will have excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines along with strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management.
 
It would be desirable to have experience working with University of Oxford research administration systems (e.g., X5, Oracle, SharePoint, Worktribe) and knowledge of research governance, funding regulations and compliance requirements.
