The Department of Education at the University of Oxford is seeking a proactive and well-organized Research Support Officer to join the Research Team. This is a key role that combines elements of ethics and data protection, research facilitation, and research administration, to support the Department’s research activities. The postholder will play a vital role in maintaining research compliance, facilitating funding applications, and supporting research excellence.
The postholder will spend most of their time supporting research ethics and compliance, reflecting the Department’s current need for more dedicated support in this area.
The successful candidate should be educated to a degree level or with equivalent professional experience. You will have experience in research administration within Higher Education, or a comparable environment, and knowledge of research governance, research integrity, ethics processes and compliance requirements.
You will have excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines along with strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management.
It would be desirable to have experience working with University of Oxford research administration systems (e.g., Worktribe, SharePoint, X5, Oracle) and knowledge of research funding processes and requirements.
