In an appearance before the Education Select Committee, Professor Jo-Anne Baird, Director of the Oxford University Centre for Educational Assessment, dismissed the idea of creating a single examining body as a reaction to last year’s exam seminars scandal.
Such a body could be prone to political influence, she said.
