The Department of Education is inviting Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified candidates for the prestigious Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships, which are open for applications.
The Fellowship provides between 12 and 24 months’ funding for outstanding early career researchers who wish to carry out their research activities abroad, acquire new skills and develop their careers. The grant provides an allowance to cover your living, travel and family costs.
Applications are joint submissions between the Fellow and their proposed host Department and supervisor. A key objective of the Fellowships is career development and skills acquisition so planned training must be addressed in the application alongside research objectives.
Please read the guidance on the Marie Sklodowska-Curie website carefully before submitting an Expression of Interest. The Fellowships are funded as part of the Horizon Europe programme.
You must have the agreed support from a senior member of the Department to act as your mentor/ supervisor, and your proposed research project should align with the Department’s research strategy and strengths. The Department supports applications for European Fellowships (EFs); we are unable to support applications for Global Fellowships (GFs).
Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Have a PhD degree at the time of the deadline for applications.
- Have a maximum of 8 years’ experience in research, from the date of the award of their PhD degree.
