Professor Rupert Maclean, Senior Research Fellow in the Department of Education, Chair Professor of International Education and UNESCO Chair in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and Lifelong Learning at The Hong Kong Institute of Education (HKIEd), has been appointed an Officer in the General Division of the Order of Australia (AO) in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List for Australia announced today (13 June).
Professor Maclean’s award is for distinguished service of a high degree to humanity at large through his work as an international academic and professional working to improve education in developing countries. He is specifically recognised “For distinguished service to technical and vocational education, particularly through the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO)”.
