Alice has taught in preschool, elementary, and postsecondary classrooms in Canada. Her doctoral research explores children’s understandings of local bird species and nature knowledge and has been developed in collaboration with her child research partner, WWFBI (World-Wide Fantastic Bird Investigator). Their child-led study examines the relational and participatory potential of education research to foster interspecies and intergenerational knowledge sharing.
Alice holds a Master’s degree in Child Development and Applied Psychology from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto and an Honours Bachelor’s degree from McGill University.
Alice values the opportunity her research provides her to learn alongside families, communities and children and is grateful for the insights, stories, and inspiration they share.
