Five-year itch: Retaining early career teachers

What makes early career teachers stay in the profession and what are the pushes that send them to pastures new?​

Beginning with a qualitive study focused study on the push and pull factors affecting teachers, the five-year itch intends to explore motivational factors that influence quitting intentions of early career teachers in England. We aim to create and test the efficacy of a tech-based intervention in turning the dial and improving retention rates in this at-risk group.
